'Illinois Steward' Features Shoal Creek Volunteers
The Shoal Creek Volunteers were among six groups featured in the Fall 2008 issue of The Illinois Steward, a publication of the University of Illinois Extension Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences and the Illinois Natural History Survey.
The general article by Karen L. Tharp celebrated 25 years of service by groups that make up the Volunteer Stewardship Network. From its beginning in 1983, the "Network" now includes 74 groups in 42 Illinois counties.
Julia Bourque authored the article on the Shoal Creek Volunteers and photos were provided by the SCV and others.
