How to get to Shoal Creek Conservation Area

If coming from the west (Litchfield), proceed on East Union Avenue through the city and turn left at Yaeger Lake Trail. It will be across from a large cemetery. Proceed on Yaeger Lake Trail across the dam to about the "T" in the word "Trail" on the map, a quarter mile or so east of the dam. That is the trail head to the SCCA and there is a large rocked parking area on the south side of the road across from a welcome sign.

If coming from the east (Hillsboro) on Route 16, turn right (north) on Parsons Road (at a boat dealership) and proceed north to a T-intersection in the road, turn left (west) then follow the road to Yaeger Lake Trail which heads west and then southerly to the trail head as described above.

Note: The "A" sign on this map is not located in the proper spot for the SCCA trailhead. It is located at the south end of the lake, on the east side of the dam. Please read the instructions on the left side of this page.
